Caprice Violin

Now we have the beautiful Caprice Violin for sale
As a beginners instrument starting at AUS $ 249 the Caprice Student violin is the most beautiful Violin I have seen so far at that price. It comes in all sizes down to 1/16.
There are many upgrade options available. If you are looking at high quality European strings or getting it setup with the "Deluxe Ilja Grawert setup".
Please come into my shop and have a look and a chat and bring your child so we can find the right size of violin for you.
There will be some detailed photos of the Caprice Violin coming soon(I still have to take the photos). I will photograph between 3 - 5 different violins so you get a realistic picture how they look like.

Having been born into the tradition of violinmaking, Ilja decided at 15 to become a violinmaker. At 18 he began his apprenticeship (1982-1986) at Geigenbau Machold in Bremen, Germany, where he had the opportunity to study under some of Europe's best violinmakers.

After receiving his qualifications, he established his own workshop in Germany, concentrating on newmaking & restoration. He remained an independent artisan after migrating to Brisbane in 1994.

Ilja now has a shop in Woolloongabba, Brisbane. Serving beginning students as well as professionals from not only classical education but as well from the jazz and Rockabilly type of music. His main workshop is located above his shop, but during opening hours, he prefers to do the finer work at a workbench in his shop window.

He welcomes the chance to chat with anyone interested in the art of violinmaking, and is happy for people to watch while he works.
